Antenatal Infant Feeding 1-to-1 Planning Session

£45.00

Prepare for feeding your baby with personalised, midwife-led support that helps you feel confident, informed and flexible.

This private antenatal session is designed for parents who want to breastfeed, combination feed, express, or simply understand their options before baby arrives. Together, we explore what feeding may look like in the early days and create a plan that feels realistic, supportive and aligned with your individual circumstances.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. This is a space to ask questions, explore different approaches, and feel prepared for those first few weeks with your baby.

During the session we can cover:

• How breastfeeding works in the early hours and days after birth

• How to protect milk supply whilst introducing bottles

• When and how to introduce combination feeding

• Understanding normal newborn feeding behaviours

• Expressing options (hand expression and pumps)

• Paced bottle feeding to support breastfeeding

• How partners can support feeding

• Troubleshooting common early challenges

• Creating a flexible, personalised feeding plan

• What support is available after birth

This session is particularly helpful if you:

• are hoping to combination feed from early on

• would like your partner to be involved in feeding

• are returning to work earlier than expected

• have previous feeding challenges

• would simply like to feel more prepared and reassured

Following your appointment, you will feel clearer about your options and more confident navigating feeding decisions in the early weeks.

Postnatal support is also available if you would like continued guidance once your baby arrives.

Format: 1-to-1 session (online or face to face)

Length: 60–90 minutes

Suitable from: 28+ weeks of pregnancy
